Environmental Humanities Lab
Our Mission
The Environmental Humanities Lab at SDSU brings together scholars and community practitioners to think creatively about local, national, and global environmental issues and the social inequities with which they are entangled. Our primary objective is to provide a collaborative space for participants to share research, receive pedagogical training and mentorship, explore scholarly developments in the Environmental Humanities, and form partnerships with and between community organizations. By examining the cultural, ideological, economic, material, and political factors that have shaped and continue to shape our relationships with the natural world, we aim to develop innovative strategies for addressing our ecological challenges.
