Bio
Sean Cissel has been with the RWS Department at SDSU since 2008. He has a B.A. and an M.A. from James Madison University (Harrisonburg, Va.) and an MFA from SDSU.
Sean grew up mainly in Old Fields, West Virginia, and Arlington, Virginia. He plays several musical instruments to varying degrees of incompetence and enjoys books, sports, and backpacking. His academic interests include political rhetoric and how popular culture, especially music, affects public discourse.
