Women in Politics Schedule - Track 1: Mastery of the Media

Designed for women who hold or seek elective office. Participants will be better equipped to handle television, radio, public forums, debates, press conferences, confirmation hearings and spontaneous community happenings. Experienced professionals will teach the skills necessary to take control and confidently handle the most challenging media situations. (Limited enrollment, applicants must complete online registration form. Priority given to current officeholders and women competing in the 2006 election cycle.)

Thursday, March 17, 2005 – 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm

• Participant arrival and registration
• Welcome reception

Friday, March 18, 2005 – 7:30 am – 6:30 pm

• Participants will be separated into three small groups where they will receive hands-on training in each of the following categories:
  • Coaching and Media Training with Heidi Berenson
  • Talk Radio with Nancy Greystone
  • Public Debates and Forums with Marsha Petrie Sue

Saturday, March 19, 2005 – 7:30am – 3:00pm

• Continuation of Friday’s classes
• Leadership Luncheon and Certificate Ceremony at Sheraton
