Meet the Professor

"Wednesday, March 19, 2008, was the Arts & Letter Alumni Chapter's fourth annual "Meet the Professor." This social and educational gathering brought alumni and faculty together on the SDSU campus.

Our special guest, and speaker for the evening, was Dr. Seth Mallios, Chair of Anthropology, who has been in the news locally with his work on a variety of projects, ranging from the discovery and restoration of WPA-era murals in the original Library, to the hidden gravesites in San Diego, to excavations of the Nate Harrison homestead on Palomar Mountain and of the Whaley House.  He shared insights from his work in a talk entitled, "The Archeology of Legend in San Diego," a theme which links all of his projects.
