Linda Holler, Associate Dean

Linda Holler came to SDSU in 1981. A Professor of Religious Studies, Holler chaired that department from 1999 to 2006, when she was appointed Associate Dean in CAL with responsibilities for curriculum. Holler graduated from California State University, Chico, with majors in religious studies and philosophy. She has an M.A. in theology and a Ph.D. in religious ethics from Vanderbilt University. In 2002, Rutgers University Press published her book Erotic Morality: The Role of Touch in Moral Agency, a study of the effects of physical touch and emotions on our capacity for moral action. Holler has a long record of service in the College and the University including membership on the CAL Budget Committee, the Faculty Senate, the General Education Committee and the Student Grievance Committee. Holler served on the WASC Coordinating Committee from 2003-2006 and she is presently on the Provost’s Taskforce to review General Education.
