International Business and Economics Internship ProgramProfessor(s)Renatte K. Adler, Director and Professor in Economics DepartmentEconomics Description In operation since 1987, the Internship Program provides
a unique opportunity for SDSU students in I.B. and Economics to participate
in more than 150 offices in our community: non-profits, government agencies,
and private companies who choose to join the list on Prof. Adler's website,
ibintern.sdsu.edu. For almost 300 students annually, this means working
to assist groups such as the World Trade Center and the Organization
of Women in International Trade, Institute for the Americas, the Red
Cross (operations in Mexico) and Habitat for Humanity, I Love a Clean
San Diego, and the U.S. International Trade Center or Dept. of Commerce's
International Division. The Internship Program also provides an important
connection with the business community of the region, working with small
and large businesses. Some of these include: Qualcomm, Sony, Citibank,
the San Diego Padres, Merrill Lynch, Sempra Energy, and AT&T. Because
internships are not common for students in business and economics, our
students assist organizations and companies by providing unique and
valuable talents in fields such as marketing, management, and financial
analysis. Contact InformationRenatte K. Adler |
